Indigenous Nican Tlaca Mexica/ Taino artists -photographer – visual storyteller

My name is Robert Velasco and I am of  Mexican and Puerto Rican descent.  Following in my father’s footsteps my love of photography began at an early age. My father was a professional photographer for over twenty years retiring to open a Mexican/Puerto Rican fusion restaurant that operated for over 35 yrs.  My mother an accomplished chef headed up the kitchen, having retired from her role as a seamstress and clothes designer. Surrounded by so much creativity I picked up the camera at an early age, photographing everything from models, and concerts to landscapes. My specialty is portraits and my passion is indigenous photography.
